Biography

Sara Stepanovich, LSW is a Social Worker and Health Service Administrator with the M Street Pediatric Therapy team.

As a Social Worker, Sara provides support to families including: parental support, connection to community resources, advocacy, and referrals to healthcare professionals. Sara works with each family to determine their strengths and areas of need to create a treatment plan to address any barriers they may be experiencing in their daily lives. Administratively, Sara supports staff with day-to-day needs, connects providers with Early Intervention families, and ensures that the team is able to initiate services with families in a timely manner.

Early in her career, Sara worked overseas and saw firsthand how easy it is for communities to fail without access to resources. She learned that with access to adequate resources, families and entire communities can thrive. This idea has followed her throughout her professional career. She believes that if we are able to focus on the strengths that children and families possess and tap into the resources that already exist within their networks and communities, all children and families can be successful in reaching their developmental goals.
