Maddie Gagnon, PT, DPT is a Physical Therapist at M Street Pediatric Therapy. Maddie supports infants and children with atypical gross motor skill development and typical developmental delays.
Throughout her undergraduate and graduate years, Maddie was a tutor to her peers and held an Officer position for the Physical Therapy Class of 2021 at Midwestern University where she acted as a class representative at College of Health Sciences meetings. She also completed a research study, “The Effect of Ankle Plantar Flexion Angle on Plantar Loading Characteristics During Ambulation”, that focused on the effects of tuning and weight distribution through the foot when walking that won the Outstanding Pesentation Award at the Kenneth A. Suarez Research Day at Midwestern University. Prior to graduating and joining the M Street team, she completed rotations at Carle Hospital and Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital starting her journey in pediatrics.
Maddie finds it rewarding to empower both children and parents in their daily lives and routines to assist in each child’s development. She is passionate about approaching therapy with a functional mindset while centering collaboration to help families set appropriate goals while helping them work towards improving their child’s overall function and independence during daily routines and play.
