Biography

Elizabeth Easter, M.S. CCC-SLP is a skilled Speech Language Pathologist at M Street Pediatric Therapy.

After receiving her masters in Speech, Language, and Learning at Northwestern University, Elizabeth worked in Chicago Public schools with preschoolers,  high school students, outpatient clinics, and in Early Intervention. 

Her professional passions lie in the early childhood populations of 0-5 years of age as well as children with complex communication needs who utilize Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC).  Elizabeth has completed advanced training and is proficient in the diagnosis of communication disorders utilizing both standardized and informal assessments.

She is also proficient in the assessment of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems via feature-matching AAC systems to child needs including direct selection and alternative access. 

Her approach is relationship-based and family-centered. Elizabeth prioritizes caregiver involvement, family goals, and treating the whole child by collaborating with other providers. She believes that genuine relationships with both the child and their family are essential to the therapeutic process. Being spontaneous, flexible, enthusiastic, and playful are her special skills as a clinician. Elizabeth is passionate about working with families in their homes and communities and providing them with the tools and strategies to best support their children’s communication skills.
